- Wines of “Khao Yai Wine” Geographical Indication are made according to the GI's established and globally-accepted winemaking standards. The grapes grown and used for winemaking are vitis vinifera grown in the Khao Yai region only, and no grapes of other origins, imported must or wine, or other fruit juice can be added. This development will help to raise the standards and expectations for vitis vinifera wines with legitimate claims of origins in Thailand, for the benefit of consumers and a bright future for wines of Thailand.
